New CARES step-by-step Guide to steel properties

The latest updated Guide to reinforcing steels has now been released by CARES – highlighting various aspects of the properties of reinforcing steels.
This update is the third in a series of CARES Guides setting out every aspect of these critical construction products – and encompassing all the technical, safety, sustainability and digital changes the industry has seen since the last major overhaul of the CARES Guides in 2011.
Over a dozen updated CARES Guides are being released regularly in the coming period, each focuses in detail on a specific area with the 2023 Guide Part 3 now available – offering specific information on reinforcing steel properties including tensile strength, welding, ductility and bend properties.
