CARES achieves another significant milestone in global constructional steel certification

An important new vote of confidence in CARES as one of the leading players in global steel product certification has just been confirmed.

CARES is now accredited to provide product certification to the Hong Kong reinforcing steel standard, CS2:2012.

“Specifiers, stockists and traders increasingly demand certainty in the quality management of steel products entering the construction supply chain, and we are very pleased that CARES product certification services are now the recognised international benchmark in a growing number of global markets,” said Lee Brankley, CARES Chief Executive Officer.

CARES CPAS (Construction Products and Associated Services Scheme) Appendix 24 describes the minimum quality and operations requirements for the manufacture of Class 1 steel reinforcing bar products, according to the requirements of Hong Kong Standard CS 2:2012 bars in Grades 250 (plain round), 500B (ribbed) and 500C (ribbed).
